Scouting was a major part of my life for 11 years, and while I am currently not active in the Scouts, it majorly impacted my life. I learned to have an appreciation and a love for nature and the importance of respect. Scouting is where I had the chance to become a leader and to practice my communication skills. I am a part of the five percent of boys that did earn their Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank one can achieve, and as such I still believe it is my duty to live by the Scout Oath and Scout Law every day.

Eagle Scout Project
Meaning of The Oath and Law

The Boy Scout Oath and Law embodies the importance of having strong ethics and Godly morals in every aspect of my life. It is more than something I learned in scouting, it is a way of life and a standard that I try to live by every day. I do have a strong belief that I am bound to serve God, my country, and all the people I can help.

Part of becoming an Eagle Scout is the completion of an Eagle Scout project, something that benefits the community and that is led by the Boy Scout. Click here to see my project.
